Security Guard – Nightclub / Lounge

We are currently seeking professional and reliable Security Guards to join our team for a nightclub/lounge assignment in Winnipeg.

We are looking for individuals who are confident, observant, professional, and capable of maintaining a safe and welcoming workplace in a busy nightlife setting. Previous experience working security in nightclubs, lounges, bars, entertainment venues, or similar environments is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

As a Security Guard assigned to this location, your duties may include:

- Maintaining a visible and professional security presence
- Monitoring entrances, exits, and guest activity
- Assisting with access control and identification checks as required
- Monitoring for intoxication, aggressive behaviour, and other safety concerns
- Using effective communication and de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts
- Responding appropriately to incidents and disturbances
- Working cooperatively with venue management, staff, other security personnel, and emergency services when required
- Completing accurate incident reports and documentation
- Providing professional and respectful customer service
- Helping maintain a safe environment for guests and staff throughout the shift

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must:

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Manitoba Security Guard Licence
- Hold a valid Smart Choices certification




- Be able to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Be comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment
- Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous nightclub, lounge, bar, or nightlife security experience
- Previous experience in event or high-volume venue security
- Strong conflict-resolution and de-escalation skills
- Experience dealing professionally with intoxicated or difficult individuals
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
