Nurse Practitioner — ADHD Assessment Program
Tulua Collaborative Health · Burnaby, BC · Part-time (Virtual)
Tulua Collaborative Health is a cooperative clinic offering clinical counselling, nurse practitioner care, and dietitian & nutrition services. We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner to lead our Adult ADHD Assessment & Treatment Program, from initial diagnostic workup through to long-term follow-up care.
This role is ideal for an NP who has run (or helped build) an ADHD assessment pathway before, is comfortable working independently, and can hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.
What You'll Do
- Lead the full ADHD diagnostic pathway for clients 17+: medical review, diagnostic interview, feedback, and treatment planning
- Interpret and apply standardized pre-assessment tools, including the ASRS, WFIRS-S, PHQ-9, GAD-7, SNAP-IV, and DIVA where indicated
- Review self-report, informant, and childhood collateral questionnaires as part of a complete diagnostic picture
- Rule out medical causes and evaluate contraindications before initiating pharmacological treatment
- Develop individualized treatment plans, combining pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies
- Complete accommodation letters (education/employment), GP referrals, and disability tax forms as needed
- Manage a recurring follow-up caseload, adjusting visit frequency during titration and life transitions
- Work closely with our MOA team and collaborate with our counselling and dietitian services for wraparound client care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting for every stage of the program
What We're Looking For
- Current BC NP registration in good standing
- Experience building or running an ADHD assessment program — you know the CADDRA pathway (or an equivalent) and can apply it confidently.
- Comfortable working independently, managing your own caseload and clinical judgment calls
- Familiarity with Jane App — appointment types, intake forms, and chart templates — or the ability to learn it quickly
- Strong understanding of what's needed for pre-assessments: which tools to use, when, and how to interpret them
- Excellent communication skills for delivering diagnostic feedback with clarity and compassion
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary clinic alongside counsellors and dietitians
- Trauma-informed care
Nice to Have
- Experience with medication titration and ongoing psychiatric medication management
- Familiarity with accommodation letter writing and disability documentation
- Prior experience in a collaborative or integrated care clinic
