We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to support the fabrication and installation of specialized shielding used in X-ray and medical imaging environments. This role involves working with lead-lined materials, precision measurements, and construction techniques that ensure safety and compliance with radiation protection standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build, assemble, and install lead-lined walls, doors, panels, and other shielding components for X-ray and imaging rooms.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to radiation shielding.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials including wood, sheet goods, metal framing, and lead-lined drywall or plywood.
- Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements for radiation protection and follows proper safety procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, installers, and technicians to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, safe,



and organized work area.
- Inspect and verify installed shielding for accuracy and quality before project handoff.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of carpentry experience (commercial or specialty construction preferred).
- Experience handling heavy materials and precision carpentry tools.
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in various in office conditions.
- Knowledge of lead-lined materials or radiation shielding is an asset (training provided if needed).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
