We are currently seeking 3 General Labourers for a short-term construction project at Surerus Park Playground. This is a on call assignment supporting our client’s construction team with general site duties, material handling, cleanup, and other labour-intensive tasks.
The ideal candidates are physically fit, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in a quick-paced construction environment.
Shift Details:
- Location: Surerus Park Palyground, Fort St. John, BC
- Start Date: September 18th or 19th (To be Confirmed)
- Start Time: 8:00 AM
- Workers Required: 3
- Shift Length: 8–12 hours, based on site requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist with construction site preparation, setup, and cleanup
- Support material handling and general site organization
- Push and transport materials using a 55 lb wheelbarrow as required
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely under supervision
- Assist with concrete-related tasks, including forming and finishing
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all site safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset, but not required
- Physically capable of performing demanding work for 8–12 hour shifts
- Ability to lift, push, and move heavy materials safely
- Strong stamina and a reliable work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and assist with various construction tasks
- Basic familiarity with hand tools is an advantage
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
PPE Requirements
Workers must have:
- Hard hat
- CSA-approved safety boots
- Reflective safety vest
- Safety glasses
- Leather work gloves
- Long pants and long-sleeve shirt or weather-appropriate coveralls
Only reliable candidates who can commit to the full assignment and meet the physical and PPE requirements should apply.
Pay: $19.00-$19.50 per hour
