Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PMS (Pantone Matching System) Specialist specializing in colour matching and paint mixing. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately matching Pantone colours to ensure consistency across various products and projects. Your expertise will drive quality control, support product development initiatives, and contribute to the seamless manufacturing of colour-specific paints. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, research, and laboratory skills come together to create vibrant, reliable colours that meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

- Accurately match Pantone colours using specialised colour matching equipment and techniques to ensure consistency across all products.
- Mix and formulate paints according to specified colour formulas, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct rigorous quality control checks on paint batches to verify colour accuracy and consistency throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with product development teams to create new colour formulations and improve existing shades based on research findings.
- Maintain detailed records of colour matches, formulations, and laboratory tests for traceability and continuous improvement.
- Perform research on new pigments,



dyes, and materials to enhance colour matching capabilities and expand the palette options.
- Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on paint mixing procedures and troubleshooting colour discrepancies.

Requirements

- Proven laboratory experience with a solid understanding of colour science, including familiarity with Pantone systems.
- Experience in quality control within a manufacturing or product development environment focused on paints or coatings.
- Knowledge of research methodologies related to pigment properties, formulation techniques, and material compatibility.
- Hands-on experience with paint mixing equipment, spectrophotometers, or other colour measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills for maintaining accurate records of formulations and test results.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- A background in product development or manufacturing processes related to coatings or paints is highly desirable.
