Summary

We are actively seeking a Truck Driver/General Labourer. This role is responsible forsafely transporting products, materials, racks, and equipment between company locations, customers, and suppliers. When driving is not required, the employee will support farm, greenhouse, warehouse, packing, shipping, and receiving operations by completing assigned general labour duties.

Responsibilities

· Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and established safety procedures.

· Transport products, materials, racks, pallets, carts, and equipment between company locations, customers, and suppliers.

· Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any safety concerns or defects.

· Complete trip reports, inspection reports, bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other required shipping documentation accurately.

· Load, secure, transport, and unload products and materials safely and efficiently.

· Assist with shipping, receiving, order preparation, load staging, inventory movement, and product handling.

· Keep vehicles, work areas, loading docks, warehouses, greenhouses, and other facilities clean, safe, and organized.

· Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

· Perform other duties around the farm as assigned based on seasonal and operational needs.

· When driving is not required, complete assigned general labour tasks to support farm, greenhouse, warehouse, packing, and shipping operations.

Skills, Qualities, and Experience

· Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated and an acceptable driving record.





· Ability to drive a vehicle with a standard transmission is required.

· Knowledge of safe driving practices, load securement, vehicle inspections, and shipping documentation.

· Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.

· Ability and willingness to perform general labour tasks, including applying UPC labels to pot covers, assisting on packing lines, cleaning facilities, handling products and materials, and completing other assigned duties around the farm.

· Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and adapt to changing daily and seasonal priorities.

· Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and time-management skills.

· Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.

· Experience in truck driving, shipping and receiving, warehouse, farm, greenhouse, or packing operations is considered an asset.

Physical and Working Conditions

· Ability to sit and drive for extended periods and to enter and exit vehicles safely.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, carry, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and move products and materials safely, with assistance or equipment when required.

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

· Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods when required.
