We are seeking a Bilingual Document Processing Specialist to join Miller Thomson LLP.
This position is to work remotely and is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of document work, task completion and has an interest in the technical aspects of document production.
The successful candidate is self-motivated, demonstrates excellent independent and teamwork skills, with strong ability to learn processes and technical work, promoting a client-first focused culture. Being a contributing team player is essential to providing document production support across the Firm.
Shift:
Monday to Friday: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm EST / 10:00 am - 6:00 pm MST / 9:00 am - 5:00 pm PST
As a Document Specialist, you will be providing firm-wide support using your advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe).
Key responsibilities:
- Technical tasks of document formatting/styling including conversion of PDF to Word, forensics utilizing complex and customized tools, and troubleshooting document issues;
- Document work including revisions, comparisons, mail merges, cross-referencing, indexing, creating tables;
- Preparation and formatting of PowerPoint presentations;
- Transcription of digital dictation;
- Data-entry,
data manipulation and formulations in spreadsheets;
- PDF manipulation including creating fillable forms, redaction, bookmarking, hyperlinking, and compilation/organization of PDF files;
- Proofreading and checking documents for appropriate formatting, spelling, grammar and verifying accuracy of completed work;
- Communication with internal clients in regards to work requests;
- Intake of incoming work requests and creating database tickets;
- May be required to take support calls to resolve document problems;
- Other tasks as may be required.
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 3 years' of relevant experience;
- Advanced-level technical skills in Word, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel;
- Solid attention to detail, editing and proofreading skills;
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to solve problems and make decisions;
- Excellent customer service and communication skills;
- Ability to correspond professionally and effectively with internal client groups;
- Ability to type with a speed of approximately 55 words per minute;
- Must be flexible to work overtime and statutory coverage on occasion;
- Knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and procedures are an asset.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive total rewards package with the expected range of the annual salary to be between $60,000 – $63,000.
The final salary is influenced by the location of the incumbent and may fluctuate based on the qualifications, skills, and market considerations, ensuring alignment with internal and external pay equity standards.
