Community Service Provider (CSP) – Holistic Care
Ponoka, AB | Part-Time / Casual | $20-$25 per hour

Helping Hands is seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Service Provider to provide companion care services to seniors in Ponoka. This flexible role is ideal for an experienced caregiver looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, including bed, wheelchair, chair, toilet, and shower
- Support assisted and passive range-of-motion exercises to maintain comfort, circulation, and flexibility, as directed by the client’s care plan
- Provide personal care support, including showering, bathing, grooming, and skin care
- Assist with dressing and undressing, including adaptive clothing or compression garments if used
- Support toileting routines with dignity, privacy, and respect
- Assist with positioning and pressure relief to promote comfort and skin integrity
- Observe and report skin concerns or changes (e.g. redness, pressure areas) to the service coordinator
- Support daily routines and independence, following the client’s preferences, pace, and instructions
- Provide light housekeeping related to care (laundry related to personal care, cleaning care areas, organizing supplies)
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, if required




- Support movement, stretching, and exercise routines outlined by healthcare professionals
- Offer reliable companionship and practical assistance, prioritizing autonomy, respect, and choice
- Maintain a safe, calm, and client-centred environment at all times

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Health Care Aide (HCA) Certification (preferred but not required).
- First Aid & CPR Certification (current and valid).
- Intervention Record Check (IRC) & Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening).
- Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation (preferred).
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or community support is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to client needs.
