We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafting Technician to join our team. As a Drafting Technician, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using various software programs. Your expertise in drafting and design will contribute to the successful completion of projects in fields such as architecture, engineering, and construction.
Duties:
- Utilize software programs such as AutoCAD & BlueBeam to create accurate and detailed technical drawings
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications
- Interpret sketches, schematics, and other design documents to create 2D and 3D models
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and regulations
- Make revisions to drawings as necessary based on feedback from project stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including material lists and specifications
- Conduct quality control checks on completed drawings to identify any errors or inconsistencies
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Drafting Technician or in a similar role
- Proficiency in software programs such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revit
- Strong knowledge of drafting principles and techniques
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations
- Ability to interpret technical documents and sketches accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
