We are a small Hong Kong-style café in Waterloo looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchen Cook / Line Cook to join our 2-person kitchen team.

prefer Mandarin and Cantonese

Responsibilities

* Food preparation and portioning

* Meat marination and sauce preparation

* Vegetable preparation

* Cooking and order preparation during service

* Maintaining consistent food quality, portion size and presentation

* Dishwashing using a commercial dishwasher

* Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, equipment and workstations

* Restocking and organizing ingredients

* Following recipes, food safety and kitchen procedures

* Working closely with the other kitchen team member during busy periods

What we’re looking for:

* Previous restaurant/kitchen experience preferred

* Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced kitchen





* Able to handle different kitchen tasks rather than only one station

* Fast, organized and clean

* Good attention to portion, presentation and consistency

* Reliable and able to work as part of a team

Important:

This is a 2-person kitchen, so both team members share prep and service responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being hands-on and helping wherever needed during busy periods.

Staff meal provided.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
