Our team is growing, and we’re seeking a General Construction Labourer to support our site preparation, foundation work, and modular installations.

The Role

This is a highly physical, hands-on role that focuses on heavy site preparation out in the field with some general duties in our Port Kells warehouse. You will be the backbone of our installation process, handling everything from digging trenches and jackhammering to running materials and assisting skilled trades. While this is an excellent entry-level chance for someone looking to build a career in construction, it is a demanding job that requires heavy lifting, frequent travel, and a strong work ethic. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday.

Duties

- Load and unload construction materials, as well as move materials to work areas
- Prepare site for modular homes, including clearing and grading land
- Perform heavy manual labour including shovelling, packing, and jackhammering.
- Dig trenches for underground utilities.
- Assemble forms for concrete pads, tie rebar, and assist in the preparation and pouring of foundation walls.
- Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers.
- Assist in home placement and installation.
- Use of power and hand tools to cut and install materials.
- Collaborate with other trades, such as roofers, electricians, and plumber to coordinate work activities and be willing to assist if needed.
- Perform general tasks in the warehouse, run errands, and pick up/deliver materials and equipment from suppliers as needed when not on-site.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper PPE use and tool handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area,



ensure proper storage of materials and tools and disposal of waste.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans
- Willingness to drive vehicles such as F550's and tow trailers as needed
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 40 kg) and physically demanding tasks consistently throughout the workday
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work tasks
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in teams as well as independently

Certifications/Licenses

- Valid driver's license (required)

Experience

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)

- Primary job locations are within the Lower Mainland but can vary from Interior BC to the Sunshine Coast
- Must be willing to travel and stay on-site for multiple days
