Responsibilities/Duties:

- Prepares for service by reviewing job work order, gathering equipment, supplies, and tools; coordinating schedule with customers
- Installs, Service equipment for security/fire alarm system by running and pulling wiring; connecting devices, programming, calibrating and testing equipment
- Verifies security/fire alarm system functionality by confirming equipment connections and signals; identifying and correcting problems
- Learn and adhere to all government codes, regulations, and standards
- Documents installation and maintains records
- Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions
- Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and company safety policy
- Strictly keeps customer and company security information confidential
- Keeps supplies ready by checking inventory and stock; placing orders; verifying receipts
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
- Accomplishes organization goals as assigned by Supervisor. Must be proactive in taking ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job and company





Skills/Qualifications:

- Full CFAA Registration is required.
- Valid Driver's License with clean abstract
- General knowledge of portable equipment, emergency lighting and sprinkler testing, repairing, service preferred
- Knowledge of related codes and standards including CAN/ULC S536-04 and CAN/ULC S537-04
- Minimum 2 years related Canadian work experience performing fire alarm inspections, field repairs, trouble shooting, ground fault tracing
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong ability to trouble shoot and diagnose problems
- Ability to work well with team members or unsupervised within a flexible work environment
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop and/or lifting up to 50 lbs when needed
- Climb ladders, work from man lifts and tolerate heights as needed

Pay for this position will be discussed upon assessment of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $33.00 per hour
