Position Summary:

We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of a dynamic logistics and transportation environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring that operational standards are met while driving customer satisfaction.

The primary objective of this role is to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and smooth processes across all areas. You will lead and support the team to meet key performance targets related to safety, quality, customer service, and cost efficiency, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Schedule:

- Days, Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
- Afternoons, Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm
- Nights, Sunday to Thursday, 11 pm to 7:30 am

Position Responsibilities:

- Manage the staffing and training of dock workers to ensure a high level of performance and safety
- Foster a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and internal policies
- Develop efficient schedules to meet customer needs, ensuring all issues are handled swiftly and professionally
- Lead efforts to improve processes related to safety, quality, and cost control




- Oversee routine maintenance and arrange for any necessary repairs to equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Supervise all aspects of shipping and receiving, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows
- Lead and manage the shift operations team, ensuring daily goals and service levels are met
- Collaborate with customer service to ensure that customers receive exceptional service

Position Qualifications:

- 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role, overseeing operational teams
- 3–5 years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or distribution industry
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and maintain high standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
