Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking an experienced Labourer to join our shop team!

This position is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, at our Fort McMurray shop in Rickards Landing (181 Robertson Road). You MUST BE local to Fort McMurray, AB. Please only apply if you live in Fort McMurray Alberta.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain a safe work environment through general shop cleanup including, but not limited to, pressure washing, sweeping, dusting, shoveling, etc.
- Heavy lifting of pumps and other equipment around the shop.
- Wash exterior and interior of trucks, windows, mats, and surfaces.
- Secure operation of company vehicles and equipment (skid steer, forklift) to move items effectively
- Operating a loader for snow cleanup in winter
- Assist mechanics and other workers with maintenance and light repairs
- Ensure that all receiving paperwork is processed expediently, including all consumables items, maintenance parts, couriers, vehicles, service trucks, pumps, etc.
- Organization of parts shipments in the warehouse
- Local parts deliveries and pickups as needed
- Undertake other duties or complete emergency tasks as requested

Required Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role in a mechanical or construction environment
- Capable of using hand tools
- Ability to lift twenty-three (23) kilograms (50lbs) on a regular basis
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Successful candidates must provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

- Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Copy of valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Copy of current 3-year clean driver’s abstract
- Copies of training certificates

All employees must participate in, promote, and contribute to ICD’s Safety-First culture. This includes, but is not limited to, following Safe Work practices and procedures, attending safety meetings and toolbox talks, understanding and navigating our digital safety application (SiteDocs), completing FLRA’s, using PPE, inspection of vehicles, tools, and equipment, and more.
