About the Opportunity

An established beauty and medical aesthetics clinic in Maple Ridge is seeking a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our team as Medical Director.

We currently have an established cosmetic injectable program with an experienced RN injector and are looking for a collaborative medical professional to provide clinical leadership and oversight as this area of our business continues to grow.

For the right individual, this position also offers long-term growth potential beyond the traditional Medical Director role. We are open to discussing an expanded leadership role and potential future partnership or ownership opportunity within the medical aesthetics division of the business.

Our goal is to find someone who is interested in building a long-term relationship with the clinic and helping shape the future of our medical aesthetics program.

Responsibilities

- Provide appropriate medical oversight for the clinic’s medical aesthetics services
- Collaborate with our experienced RN injector
- Develop, review and maintain appropriate clinical protocols and medical directives
- Provide prescribing and medication oversight where appropriate
- Ensure appropriate emergency and adverse-event protocols are established
- Be available for clinical consultation when required
- Support appropriate patient assessment, documentation and standards of care
- Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable professional and regulatory requirements
- Provide clinical guidance as new medical aesthetic treatments are considered or introduced
- Participate in the continued development and growth of the clinic’s medical aesthetics program

Qualifications

- Licensed Physician or Nurse Practitioner in British Columbia




- Current registration and good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
- Appropriate professional liability coverage
- Strong commitment to patient safety and ethical practice
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Interest in cosmetic medicine and medical aesthetics
- Appropriate cosmetic medicine/aesthetic training or certification

We are also open to speaking with practitioners who are newer to medical aesthetics but have completed or are actively pursuing appropriate education and training.

Contract Structure: Flexible and open to discussion

Schedule: Adaptable

Compensation: Competitive and negotiable based on experience, scope of responsibilities and level of involvement.

For the right candidate, there is potential for the role to evolve into a larger leadership position with an opportunity to discuss partnership or ownership within the medical aesthetics side of the business.

We are open to creating a structure that works for both the practitioner and the clinic, whether that begins as a part-time Medical Director position or a more involved role.
