Circle Craft Co-Operative on Granville Island represents the finest of BC craft. Built on a reputation for integrity and quality, the Circle Craft Store is owned and operated by a co-operative of 140 artists, many of whom are recipients of significant awards, and who exhibit extensively across Canada and internationally. The Circle Craft Store carries exquisite work in ceramics, glass, jewelry, metal, paper, textiles, and wood across a broad price range.

SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Store Manager the Sales Associate will present the works of our artists/members at our Granville Island location, and provide an exceptional level of service to customers and member artists alike. The nature of Circle Craft’s operations requires flexibility on the part of the employee and duties may change over time. This is a part-time hourly position. The number of hours is adaptable and will require working weekdays, weekends, and holidays.We value the skills of our staff and are happy to provide opportunities for your growth and professional skills development.

DUTIES:

- Greeting and engaging with customers
- Providing information about Circle Craft, our members, and their work
- Ringing through sales in the POS
- Carefully packaging purchased craft beautifully and securely for each client
- Following up with customers and artists on custom orders
- Processing and packing items to be shipped
- Maintaining order, aesthetics,



and cleanliness of gallery displays
- Restocking the sales floor with inventory and supplies

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the team.
- Must have a minimum of 1-year retail sales experience
- Flexibility with scheduling: we are open seven days a week
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Asset Qualifications

- Fluency in language(s) other than English
- Passion for arts and culture, including learning about our artists’ individual styles
