Overview

RSS Oilfield Services is looking for individuals to fill our DAY & NIGHT shifts.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machinists to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision products. Your expertise in CNC machinery, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in delivering high-quality products efficiently.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while honing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines to produce complex parts according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models using SolidWorks and other CAD software to ensure accurate machining.
- Program CNC machines utilizing languages like Mazatrol and Fanuc to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
- Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Maintain machine tools by performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proper calibration for precision machining.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation during material handling.
- Collaborate with team members on lean manufacturing initiatives and assembly tasks to streamline production workflows.




- Able to keep and maintain a clean working environment.
- Able to understand and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Skills

- Proficiency in CNC programming with experience in Mazak, Fagor & Fanuc and control systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled/knowledgeable in API threads.
- Experience with machining processes including CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, drilling, grinding, and assembly.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, forklift operation, and safety procedures within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and improving efficiency.
