Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with precision and flair.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity.
- Assist customers with their orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including food preparation zones and seating areas.
- Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices.
- Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and assist in food preparation as needed to keep the store fully operational.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles with strong knowledge of coffee brewing and beverage preparation.
- Has or willing to get, Food Handlers certification and Smart Serve license.
- An asset but not required, familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square, for smooth transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team player, while having a postive and go-getter attitude.
- Able to work evenings and weekends shifts.
