Overview
River Cree Ventures Limited Partnership (RCVLP) is seeking an Estimator / Project Coordinator to support projects from tender through closeout. You will build accurate estimates, coordinate RFIs, and deliver transparent reporting that supports timely decisions. RCVLP provides business development services to the Enoch Cree Nation and operates a diverse portfolio across real estate, engineering, and construction. This role is a key member of the project team—ensuring technical accuracy, strong communication with consultants and sub-trades, and steady project momentum.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed estimates (materials, labour, equipment), quantity take-offs, and tender submissions from drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
· Lead RFI and document control (logs, tracking, follow-up) with consultants and sub-trades to prevent delays.
· Coordinate weekly meetings, record minutes/action items, and provide concise updates on progress, milestones, and risks to the Project Director.
· Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors; invite and evaluate pricing to support award recommendations.
· Track costs, forecasts, cash flow, and schedule performance; prepare regular status reports and cost-to-complete updates.
· Manage change documentation (change orders, progress claims) accurately and on time.
· Complete site visits for meetings, inspections, and planning; verify progress for milestone invoicing and address deficiencies.
· Support project closeout, including deficiency lists, O&M; manuals, and as-builts.
Experience:
· Two-year technology diploma/certificate in civil/construction engineering technology,
or four-year degree in a related engineering or construction management field.
· 3–5 years’ experience in construction estimating and project coordination in Alberta.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
· Experience tracking deliverables, managing RFI logs, and maintaining construction schedules.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and estimating/coordination software (e.g., Bluebeam).
· Valid driver’s license; must be bondable.
Working Conditions:
· Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in standard office conditions. May be required to work extended hours from time to time to meet deadlines.
· Primary duties are performed in a standard office environment.
· Regular local travel to construction site locations within Enoch Cree Nation for inspections, site meetings and project planning.
