Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated level 3 or higher Automotive Apprentice to join our service team in Winchester Ontario. Under the mentorship of a licensed Journeyperson, you will develop the technical skills required to diagnose, repair, and maintain cars and light trucks. This role is a path to becoming a licensed 310S technician through 6,500 hours of on-the-job training and three levels of in-school sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Guided by the STO Training Standard, your duties will include:

· Preventative Maintenance: Performing oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and seasonal inspections.

· System Repairs: Assisting in the repair of engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and drive shafts.

· Chassis & Safety: Servicing braking systems, suspension (shocks/springs), steering mechanisms, and performing wheel alignments.

· Diagnostics: Using computerized tools to identify faults in electrical, fuel management, and emission control systems.

· Climate Control: Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.

· Shop Safety: Adhering to WHMIS standards, maintaining a clean workspace, and documenting all work in compliance with provincial regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

· Registration:



Must hold a valid Registered Training Agreement (RTA) with Skilled Trades Ontario or be eligible to register.

· Education: High school diploma (OSSD) or equivalent is mandatory.

· License: A valid G-class driver’s license with a clean abstract is required for road-testing vehicles.

· Tools: Willingness to invest in a basic set of hand tools as you progress through the apprenticeship.

· Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Compensation & Local Context

· Wages: Competitive hourly rates starting at $18 (depending on qualifications). Increasing as you complete apprenticeship levels.

· Location: Based in Winchester, Ontario, serving the North Dundas community and surrounding areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
