Advisors will assist students in their academic journeys, providing guidance on course selection, work integrated learning opportunities, and job search strategies while maintaining a strong understanding of university policies and programs. This role encompasses advising students across various faculties and engaging in initiatives that boost retention and facilitate career readiness. Key Responsibilities:
- Guide students in academic and career goal setting
- Advise on course selection and program prerequisites
- Discuss job search strategies and career outcomes
- Evaluate and adjudicate student academic performance
- Identify at-risk students and provide support Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline
- Four to five years of experience in academic advising
- Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion practices
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
