Responsibilities

As an Accounting Technician, you will play an important role in supporting clients by providing accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services. Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing personal income tax returns in an effective and accurate manner.
- Preparing compilation engagements, including the preparation of corporate income tax returns.
- Preparing T5 (statement of investment income)



and T4 (statement of remuneration paid) returns.
- Responding to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requests for information.
- Performing bookkeeping services for a variety of clients, including account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients to maintain strong and trusted relationships.

Experience and Education Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- 2–5 years of public practice accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience preparing personal income tax returns.
- Experience preparing compilation engagements and corporate income tax returns.
- Experience using common bookkeeping and accounting software, including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Sage.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to learn in a constantly changing industry.

Compensation

- Salary range: $50,000 – $68,000, commensurate with experience and fit within the firm.
