Acting Director of Collegiate & Dual Credit Studies

Edmonton Office

Northland School Division is accepting applications for the position of Acting Director of Collegiate & Dual Credit Studies. This position will be 0.6–1.0 FTE and is a 10-month term position, with the possibility of an extension. Collegiate programming connects junior high and high school students to hands-on learning, dual credit opportunities, and clear pathways into post-secondary education and careers. It is designed to provide specialized, career-focused programming through solid collaboration between K–12, post-secondary, and industry partners, helping students explore interests and transition confidently into future pathways. Through these partnerships, students gain early exposure to real-world learning environments, build practical skills, and earn valuable credentials while still in high school.

Major responsibilities include

- Connecting classroom learning to real-world careers.




- Expanding access to dual credit and early post-secondary experiences.
- Supporting industry-informed, hands-on education.
- Helping students build confidence, skills, and direction for their future.
- Develop and maintain partnerships that provide students with meaningful learning experiences and bridge education and career pathways.
- Coordinate and oversee collegiate and dual credit programming across the Division.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Leadership Quality Standard certificate.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Northland School Division schools as required.
- A Graduate degree is preferred, but not required.
- Has a minimum of 5 successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
