Position: Lead Operations, AI Program Governance & PMO
Location: Toronto, on – Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
Program Governance & PMO Leadership
- Own and maintain RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) logs across multiple programs.
- Establish and enforce governance standards, reporting processes, and escalation procedures.
- Manage program intake, sizing, prioritization, archetype classification, and cohort planning.
- Ensure program tracking data remains current, accurate, and audit-ready.
Executive Reporting & Communications
- Develop and maintain weekly RAG (Red-Amber-Green) status reporting.
- Create executive dashboards, governance reports, readiness assessments, and briefing materials.
- Prepare presentations and reporting packs for Operating Committee (OC) and Executive Steering Group (ESG).
- Provide accurate, executive-ready insights on program progress, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization.
Program Operations & Coordination
- Facilitate daily standups and cross-functional coordination meetings.
- Track dependencies across workstreams including Platform, Operations, Change & Learning, and Workforce Evolution.
- Coordinate governance forums, meeting agendas, action items, and follow-up activities.
- Drive accountability and closure of operational deliverables.
Risk, Issue & Readiness Management
- Identify and proactively manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and readiness gaps.
- Monitor readiness criteria including scope definition, resource allocation, sponsor engagement, training, tooling, and baseline measurements.
- Escalate critical issues to senior leadership and track resolution timelines.
- Report aging risks and actions requiring executive intervention.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in program operations, PMO leadership, or governance roles within large-scale technology transformation or enterprise change programs.
- Proven governance and reporting expertise, including experience building and maintaining RAG status reporting, risk and issue logs, and executive-ready status packs.
- Strong organizational and process discipline, with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent programs without losing accuracy or consistency.
- Comfort operating independently in a vendor or staff augmentation capacity, able to take direction from an internal leader and deliver reliably with minimal oversight.
- Financial services or large regulated enterprise experience, with familiarity operating inside formal governance structures, OC processes, and executive reporting expectations.
- Proficiency with standard PMO and reporting tooling such as JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel, and the ability to translate raw data into clean, executive-facing visuals.
- Transparent, concise written and verbal communication, since your reporting output will be read directly by senior stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience supporting AI, Agile, or SDLC transformation programs, or familiarity with AI-Native SDLC concepts.
- Experience working inside a vendor delivery model supporting a major financial institution.
- Familiarity with benefit measurement frameworks and efficiency baseline methodology.
