About the Role

Responsible for processing the Vendor Set Up function for Payment Services. Responsible for prioritizing and processing all payments to suppliers and employees of the University. Provides training, direction and advice to junior clerks on data processing practices and procedures. Provides information to other Financial Services staff on payment and procedure queries.



Expert on cross-functional training for both the Accounts Payable and Reimbursements & Disbursements groups within Payment Services. Reviews, verifies, and processes a variety of accounts payable transactions related to travel and expense claims and independent contractor agreements. Issues travel/expense advances for faculty and staff and performs account reconciliations. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts on payment matters and provides advice on university policy and procedures pertaining to accounts payable and travel and expense claims. Contributes to resolving accounts payable processing and reporting issues.
