Drain Brothers is the leading provider of aggregates, asphalt and professional site construction services in the

Peterborough/Quinte area. We maintain a up-to-date fleet with over 85 dump trucks and 175 pieces of heavy machinery on worksites all over the Peterborough/Quinte area. And we’ve built a team of more than 400 employees. Good workmanship and exceptional customer service are at the heart of everything we do.

Requires an Asphalt Labourer, You Will,

- Proficiency in working with hand tools
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour
- Productively operate in a collaborative manner with all crew members
- Follow the instruction of supervisor.
- Shovel and rake asphalt.
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Assist with traffic control flagging.
- Spot for equipment and backing trucks, watch for hazards such as overhead wires, employees, and the public.
- Flexible to work days/nights/weekends and out of town when required
- Able to promote a positive and safe work environment in a physically demanding and fast paced work environment
- Assists other employees when required

Requirements to fulfill the role:

- Previous experience in road work and asphalt paving and/or general construction
- Must have a valid minimum class G driver's licence,



& must have own transportation
- Operate in a fast paced and demanding environment in a safe and effective manner
- Effective communication (verbal and written)
- Effective team player who is willing to help in all areas
- Must have a high attention to detail and take pride in the finished product.
- Punctual and available to work.
- Overtime, evening, and weekend work may be required to meet the demands of the position
- Conduct yourself in a skilled/mature manner.
- Outdoor environment in various weather conditions.
- Travel to various sites may be required.
- Follow company Health and Safety Policy, workplace policies, procedures, and rules.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Must be able to work as a member of a greater team.
