$20–$27 per hour, based on experience

Full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday

Southside Auto Wreckers is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our team as an Automotive Parts Puller.

This is a hands-on outdoor position removing quality used automotive parts from vehicles in our salvage yard. Formal automotive training or certification is not required. We are willing to train the right person who has mechanical ability, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Work Schedule

- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- One-hour lunch break
- 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
- 40 hours per week
- No regularly scheduled weekends

Responsibilities
- Locate vehicles and identify requested automotive parts
- Remove body, mechanical, electrical and interior parts using hand, air and power tools
- Inspect removed parts for damage and quality
- Notify the appropriate staff of any damage or condition concerns
- Label and prepare parts for inventory, customer pickup or shipping
- Handle removed parts carefully to prevent damage
- Keep tools and work areas clean, safe and organized
- Assist with general salvage-yard duties as required
- Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements

This position does not involve pulling engines or transmissions.

Qualifications

- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of vehicles and automotive parts




- Comfortable safely using hand and power tools
- Automotive repair, bodywork, farming, equipment or dismantling experience is an asset, but not required
- Dependable and able to arrive on time consistently
- Able to follow instructions and complete work independently
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and regularly bending, reaching and climbing
- Willing and able to work outdoors in varying Saskatchewan weather conditions
- Valid driver’s licence is preferred
