Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team at Cosmo Auto Services Ltd.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining a wide variety of passenger cars and light-duty vehicles. We are looking for someone who has strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work effectively in a busy automotive repair environment.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using skilled scan tools, testing equipment, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service information.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on passenger cars and light-duty vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair engines, brakes, steering and suspension systems, cooling systems, charging and starting systems, and other vehicle systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, fluid services, inspections, and general automotive repairs.
- Troubleshoot warning lights, drivability concerns, electrical faults, noises, leaks, and other customer concerns.
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, repair procedures, and safety standards.
- Accurately document diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and work performed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.




- Communicate repair findings clearly with the service team and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician in an independent repair shop or dealership is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Experience with engine diagnostics, brakes, steering and suspension, electrical troubleshooting, and general mechanical repairs.
- Ability to use automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, organized, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Alberta Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician certification is an asset.
- 3rd or 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentices are also encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s licence is preferred.
