Automotive Technical Instructor – Transmissions & Powertrain

We are seeking an Automotive Technical Instructor to train dealership technicians across Canada on the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic procedures, and repair methods. This is an excellent opportunity for a subject matter expert in transmissions and drivability systems to transition into a rewarding training-focused career while remaining close to cutting-edge automotive technology.

What You'll Do

- Deliver engaging instructor-led training sessions to dealership technicians.
- Facilitate hands-on technical training focused on diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Train technicians in both classroom and virtual environments.
- Support OEM training initiatives and technical learning programs.
- Manage training schedules and learning activities through LMS platforms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve training content and delivery methods.
- Maintain training vehicles, equipment, and learning environments.
- Stay current on emerging automotive technologies and repair practices.

What We're Looking ForRequired

- 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
- Strong experience diagnosing and repairing automatic and/or manual transmissions.
- Experience with powertrain and drivetrain systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to work in office in the Brampton/GTA area.





Preferred

- Experience delivering technical training, mentoring apprentices, or coaching technicians.
- OEM dealership experience.
- Provincial or Interprovincial Automotive Technician License (310S, Red Seal, or equivalent).
- Experience using OEM scan tools, oscilloscopes, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with learning platforms and virtual training tools.

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per hour
