The ideal candidate will possess advanced diagnostic and repair skills for complex automotive systems, while demonstrating proficiency in programming, software troubleshooting, and hardware repair. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, and demonstrate significant knowledge in areas such as software development, EVs, wiring diagram analysis, electrical systems repair, and integrating the next generation of vehicle technology.
This role carries a profound responsibility for ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles, and demands a forward-thinking individual with adept problem-solving skills and a commitment to the highest technical and professional standards.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Must be affluent in reading, writing, and editing code.
- Fully licensed ‘G’ Class driver with a clean drivers abstract.
- Bilingualism an asset, but not required.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to upholding safety standards in all aspects of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and innovations.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot vehicle firmware and electrical components, including relays, sensors, fuses, complex circuit systems, and digital interfaces.
- Proficiency in diagnostics and repair of embedded software, digital signal processors, and advanced automotive systems, with a strong emphasis on electric vehicles (EVs).
- Skilled use of diagnostic tools for programming and reprogramming ECMs, ADAS, and related systems, ensuring peak performance.
- Expertise in optimizing and repairing vehicle ECMs, ADAS,
and other advanced systems to ensure compliance with strict vehicular and technical standards
- Advanced skills in interpreting diverse automotive computers and complex wiring diagrams to enhance system functionality and performance.
- Experience leveraging AI and machine learning to streamline troubleshooting processes, develop predictive maintenance algorithms, and enable smart diagnostics for modern automotive systems.
- Proficiency in mitigating vulnerabilities and implementing software-driven solutions within vehicle operating systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Expertise in application database design, frontend and backend development, and user interface (UI) programming to enhance digital services and improve the interaction between vehicle electronics and external devices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Adaptability to fast-paced technological advancements within the automotive industry, with a commitment to staying ahead of trends.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring confidential handling of sensitive data, technical logs, repair history, and vehicle systems documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and efficient problem-solving.
- Professional demeanor with solid interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer engagement and collaboration within dynamic team environments.
- Exceptional performance under pressure, demonstrating efficiency, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs when necessary for tasks and operations.
- Proven ability to adhere to strict safety protocols when working with hazardous materials or systems.
