: Banquet Server

Location: Holiday Inn/Staybridge Suites by IHG - St. Catharines, ON

Employment Type: 3-month contract

Position Summary:

At Holiday Inn/Staybridge Suites by IHG, we believe in delivering exceptional, warm, and attentive service for every event. As a Banquet Server, you play a vital role in setting the tone for memorable guest experiences - from elegant weddings to professional meetings and everything in between. You'll be responsible for event setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring every detail aligns with IHG's commitment to 'True Hospitality for Good.'

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with setting up banquet rooms and service stations in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Provide food and beverage service to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the event.
- Assist with buffet setup and replenishment or plated service, as required.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate any concerns to the Banquet Captain.
- Assist with tear down and clean banquet spaces post-event, resetting as needed for upcoming functions.
- Support teammates and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards aligned with the Staybridge Suites brand.

Qualifications:

- Previous banquet or restaurant service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift trays, move tables, and stand/walk for long periods.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.




- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in a fast passed banquet environment .
- Previous experience in a dual-brand environment is advantageous.
- Must have Smart Serve
- Certification in food safety or related fields is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying moderate weights (up to 25 lbs.).
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as setting up and clearing tables.

- This position is casual part-time
- Scheduling is based occupancy/events
- Must have a minimum of 2 days availability
