The Public Services Librarian position focuses on proactively creating meaningful experiences for library patrons. You will engage with diverse communities, implement programming, and support collection management. This role requires effective communication and relationship-building skills to connect with individuals and groups in the London area. You’ll also provide guidance on technology and educational resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead community programming and education initiatives • Guide patrons in finding relevant information and resources • Enhance the library’s collection through community input • Support patrons with technology access and training • Manage customer inquiries and follow up on feedback
Requirements: • Master’s in Library and Information Science preferred • Minimum of 6 months relevant librarian experience • Knowledge of current library trends and resources • Demonstrated customer service and outreach experience • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
