Position: BI Developer

Reports to: Director, Enterprise Data Management and Analytics

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise development and testing teams (2-4)
- Analyze business needs and plan the required team effort and timeline accordingly.
- Quality control: Act as the last validation stage before releasing in Prod
- Build data flows, data mapping around Oracle Db and other data sources
- Build ETLs from multiple data sources into the data infrastructure
- support the team to create documentation on key business rules and ETL process applied to data
- Optimize current data models to achieve better performance on reports, cube, dashboards
- Designing, developing, and deploying multidimensional model to support reports, cube, dashboard solutions.
- Maintaining & enhancing existing data models: financial, sales, operational, suggesting improvements or creation of new data models to meet business needs.




- Implementation of dashboard capabilities with near real time capability and performance
- Delivering BI & data training to various internal clients

Required aptitude

- Ability to synthetize complex concept and explain to non-technical users
- Delivering technical training to various internal clients
- Ability to prioritize the team effort and reallocate resources to meet operational needs
- Capacity to bring cutting-edge solutions to solve legacy issues

Required skills

- Expertise in data engineering tools & methodologies such as Data Factory, Alteryx or Informatica
- Expertise in SQL: Oracle PL SQL, MS SQL and with OLAP & OLTP
- Solid knowledge of ERP transactions and modules for distribution and manufacturing business.
- Advanced knowledge of BI, data engineering & data warehousing.
- Expertise in data governance, information quality, business intelligence & data management with several departments covered (Finance, Sales & Marketing, supply chain)

Experience & Education

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Bilingual in French & English both verbal & written
- AWS (Amazon) or Azure (Microsoft) or Google Cloud knowledge is a plus
- IBM certification (Cognos Analyst, Dev, Admin) is a plus
