Role: Bilingual Auto Underwriter

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Worker Type: Hybrid (2x/week Onsite)

Location: Montreal, QB

Rate: 90,000 - 95,000/yr

We are seeking a Bilingual Auto Underwriter to join a growing underwriting team focused on commercial automobile and transportation risks. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong broker relationships, and has experience underwriting transportation-related business. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for underwriting both new business and renewals while ensuring compliance with company guidelines and profitability objectives.

You will also serve as a trusted partner to brokers, providing exceptional service and developing strong relationships within the market.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 4+ years of experience in underwriting,



with ideally 2+ of the years specializing in transportation - Bilingual in French & English, both written and verbal
- Must have experience partnering directly with brokers
- Must have robust documentation skills - Has obtained their CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) or working towards it

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- CRM (Canadian Risk Management) certification
