Base Salary: up to $85,000
Bonus: 10% annual performance-based bonus

Join a Leading and Growing Financial Services Organization We are currently seeking an energetic, professional and motivated Bilingual Employee Relations (HR) Specialist to join a well-established and rapidly growing financial services organization in Mississauga.
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, this position will support managers and employees with employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management, policy interpretation and compliance with provincial employment legislation.
The role will primarily support Quebec, with Ontario as a secondary province. The successful candidate will regularly use French in employee and manager conversations, written documentation and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct workplace and employee investigations, including performance concerns, employee complaints, attendance and conduct issues; document findings and prepare recommendations for appropriate resolution.
- Provide high-quality consultation to managers across the organization on strategies and approaches to manage complex employee issues, primarily supporting Quebec and also Ontario.
- Support management with performance management matters, including performance concerns, progressive discipline and corrective action up to and including termination.
- Prepare and review documentation, including written warnings, performance improvement plans and other performance-related correspondence.
- Work closely with employees and managers to address sensitive workplace concerns while maintaining a neutral, professional and solutions-focused approach.
- Provide guidance regarding company policies, procedures and employment-related concerns.
- Coach and advise managers to strengthen their people-management capabilities.
- Manage employee leaves of absence, return-to-work plans and workplace accommodation requests.
- Maintain current knowledge of provincial employment legislation and support organizational compliance.
- Support workplace Health & Safety matters, including workplace injury situations.
- Assist with annual performance review processes, employee engagement initiatives and other HR programs.
- Partner with other Human Resources functions to share Employee Relations insights that can strengthen training, onboarding, talent acquisition,
rewards and organizational culture.
- Support ongoing HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
Qualifications:
- Fully bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Hands-on experience supporting employee or workplace investigations is required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of Employee Relations experience.
- Experience handling performance-management matters, employee complaints, progressive discipline, written warnings, PIPs and terminations is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working independently, managing sensitive cases and maintaining a neutral approach with both employees and managers.
- Strong knowledge of provincial Employment Standards legislation, Human Rights legislation, Health & Safety requirements and other applicable employment laws.
- Hands-on experience interpreting HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Experience handling employee relations issues, conflict resolution and sensitive workplace situations.
- Ability to work effectively with managers and stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
- Strong problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills.
- University or college degree/diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and sensitive deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with HRIS systems.
