Biohazard & Restoration Technician

Full Time | Lloydminster, AB/SK

$21.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

We are looking for a Biohazard & Restoration Technician who wants meaningful work, enjoys variety and takes pride in helping people through difficult situations.

Biohazard response will be a specialized part of your role, but it won't be your only role. You will also be trained in contents, emergency water response and other areas of disaster restoration.

What You'll Be Doing

- Biohazard cleaning and decontamination, including trauma scenes, accidental death, drug contamination, hoarding and other challenging environments
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials
- Assist with emergency water damage response
- Assist with contents cleaning, packing, moving and inventory
- Use and maintain PPE, equipment, tools and company vehicles
- Take photos and complete required job documentation
- Communicate with clients professionally, respectfully and compassionately
- Work with your team to get the job done safely and properly

- Are comfortable working in environments involving blood, bodily fluids, strong odours, decomposition, hoarding and drug contamination
- Can remain respectful and compassionate in sensitive situations
- Enjoy variety and are willing to learn different areas of restoration




- Are physically capable of demanding work and working in PPE
- Communicate clearly and work well with others
- Have a valid driver's licence
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Previous restoration, construction, cleaning, healthcare, emergency response or biohazard experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person. The Reality of Emergency Restoration

Disasters don't always happen during regular business hours. This is a full time position with regular scheduled hours, but overtime, after hours and on call work will sometimes be required.

One day you may be working on a biohazard remediation. The next you may be helping a family after a flood, cleaning and moving contents or setting up drying equipment.
