About Techno Sharp Solutions
Techno Sharp Solutions is a technology consultancy with an established track record in the UK and European market, now expanding its operations in Canada.
We provide technology consulting, software engineering, quality engineering, automation and AI-enabled solutions, with particular strength in complex and regulated financial-services environments.
As we establish and scale our Canadian business, we are looking for an exceptional senior industry leader who can help build our market presence, develop strategic client relationships and, critically, convert those relationships into substantial technology engagements.
This is not a traditional sales role.
We are looking for an established financial-services technology leader with the credibility, network and commercial experience to engage directly with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CEOs and other senior executives and become a trusted partner in solving meaningful technology and business problems.
The Opportunity
You will play a central role in building Techno Sharp Solutions Canadian business.
Your mandate will be to identify, originate and develop strategic opportunities across Canadian banking, capital markets, wealth management, asset management and the wider financial-services ecosystem.
You will use your industry relationships, market knowledge and technology understanding to open executive-level conversations, identify genuine client challenges and work with our technology leadership to translate those challenges into compelling solutions and commercial engagements.
Success will be measured not by meetings, introductions or pipeline activity alone, but by qualified opportunities, executive relationships, proposals, contract wins, revenue and long-term client accounts.
What You Will Do
You will build and execute Techno Sharp Solutions financial-services growth strategy across Canada, initially with a strong focus on Toronto and the GTA.
You will establish and deepen relationships with senior decision-makers including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Technology, Heads of Engineering, Transformation Leaders, Procurement Executives and business leadership across financial institutions.
You will identify technology programmes, transformation initiatives and business problems where you can deliver measurable value.
You will originate and lead opportunities covering areas such as:
- Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and intelligent automation
- Digital and technology transformation
- Custom software and platform engineering
- Application modernisation
- Cloud and data transformation
- APIs, microservices and service-oriented architecture
- Quality engineering and intelligent test automation
- Technology governance and regulatory transformation
- Data platforms, analytics and AI/data governance
- Engineering productivity and DevOps transformation
You will lead senior-level discovery and commercial conversations, develop account strategies and work closely with Techno Sharp's technical leadership to create credible propositions, proposals, demonstrations and statements of work. You will manage opportunities through the complete commercial lifecycle—from initial executive introduction and discovery through solution positioning, procurement, negotiation and contract award.
You will also help Techno Sharp navigate the Canadian financial-services ecosystem, including vendor onboarding, procurement frameworks, strategic partnerships and relevant industry networks.
Where appropriate, you will represent Techno Sharp at executive forums,
industry events, technology conferences and financial-services networking communities.
What We Are Looking For
We are deliberately setting a high bar for this appointment.
You should bring at least 15 years of relevant industry experience, with substantial exposure to technology consulting, financial services, enterprise software, digital transformation or related professional services.
You should have significant experience working directly with senior executives within Canadian banks, financial institutions, wealth managers, asset managers, insurers, fintech organisations or capital-markets businesses.
Most importantly, you must demonstrate a proven commercial track record.
We are interested in what you have actually originated and won—not simply the size of the organisations you have worked for or the number of executives in your network.
Strong candidates should be able to demonstrate examples of:
- Technology or consulting engagements they personally helped originate and close
- Annual revenue or bookings influenced or generated
- Major financial-services accounts they developed
- Current clients or strategic accounts acquired
- Multi-year consulting, software or managed-service engagements won
- Executive relationships converted into commercial opportunities
- Complex procurement or vendor-selection processes successfully navigated
- Accounts expanded from initial engagement into significant recurring relationships
Specific numbers and evidence will form an important part of our selection process. Executive Network & Industry Credibility
You should already understand how senior technology buying decisions are made within Canadian financial services.
Ideally, you will bring an established network across major Canadian banks, investment and wealth-management businesses, asset managers, insurers, pension organisations, fintech companies and other regulated financial institutions.
However, a large contact list alone is not sufficient.
We are looking for someone whose relationships carry genuine professional credibility—someone who can secure a meaningful conversation with senior executives and then bring sufficient industry and technology insight to sustain that conversation.
Technology Understanding - You need to be technically credible and well aware of trends and patterns.
You should be comfortable discussing modern enterprise technology with CIOs, CTOs and engineering leadership and understand, at a business and architectural level, concepts including AI and Generative AI, cloud platforms, enterprise data, APIs, microservices, service-oriented architecture, software engineering, application modernisation, DevOps, quality engineering, automation and cybersecurity.
You should understand enough technology to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, communicate business value and intelligently involve the appropriate technical specialists when deeper engineering expertise is required.
We are specifically not looking for a purely relationship-driven, non-technical salesperson.
The Person The successful candidate will combine three qualities that are rarely found together:
Executive credibility.
You are comfortable engaging senior executives and understand the strategic, commercial and regulatory pressures facing financial institutions.
Technology credibility.
You can participate intelligently in conversations about modern technology transformation without relying entirely on a technical team.
Commercial execution.
You know how to turn relationships and conversations into qualified opportunities, proposals, contracts and revenue.
You should be entrepreneurial, commercially sharp and comfortable helping build a Canadian business rather than simply inheriting an established sales territory and mature pipeline.
Compensation & Long-Term Opportunity
This position is designed for an entrepreneurial commercial leader who wants their rewards to grow alongside the business they help create.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary, complemented by a significant performance-driven commission and incentive structure linked directly to measurable commercial outcomes.
The compensation model will place substantial emphasis on performance, including new client acquisition, signed contract value, revenue generated, strategic account development and the successful growth of key client relationships.
There is no artificial ceiling on the ambition of the role. Exceptional commercial performance and sustained contribution to the growth of TechnoSharp Solutions will be recognised accordingly.
For an individual who demonstrates sustained success, helps establish significant Canadian client relationships and makes a material long-term contribution to the growth and value of the business, there may also be an opportunity to participate in the long-term ownership and value creation of Techno Sharp Solutions through an equity or shareholder participation arrangement.
Any such opportunity would be considered as part of a longer-term progression path and would be based on demonstrated performance, strategic contribution, tenure and alignment with the company's future growth.
We want the person taking this role to think beyond being an employee or salesperson. For the right individual, the opportunity is to help build the Canadian business, participate meaningfully in its success and potentially become a long-term stakeholder in what they help create.
How Success Will Be Measured
During the first 6–12 months, performance will be evaluated against tangible outcomes including development of strategic financial-services accounts, executive-level client engagement, qualified pipeline created, proposals and tenders progressed, new logos acquired, contract value secured, revenue generated and expansion of successful engagements.
We value commercial outcomes over activity metrics.
Ten highly qualified executive conversations that create genuine opportunities are more valuable to us than hundreds of superficial sales contacts.
Why Join Techno Sharp Solutions?
This is an opportunity to play a significant role in the Canadian expansion of an established UK technology business.
Rather than joining a large consultancy where strategy and decision-making are heavily layered, you will work directly with the company's leadership and have meaningful influence over our Canadian market strategy, partnerships, client portfolio and technology propositions.
For the right individual, this position has the potential to develop into a broader Canadian executive leadership role as the business grows.
Application
We would particularly like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate a measurable history of building technology consulting or software-services revenue within Canadian financial services.
When applying, candidates should be prepared to discuss two or three significant engagements they personally originated or materially influenced, including the client challenge, their role in developing the relationship, approximate contract value, sales cycle and resulting commercial outcome.
If your strength is combining relationships, financial-services expertise, technology understanding and a proven ability to win business, we would like to hear from you.
