We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team! Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders in a prompt, friendly manner
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages as a barista, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or snacks following food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment to ensure health and safety compliance
- Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to proper hygiene practices and safety protocols




- Support serving duties by delivering orders to customers efficiently and courteously while managing multiple tasks seamlessly

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service or as a barista is highly preferred; serving experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably
