About Our Company:

Sweets from the Earth (SFTE) is a commercial bakery operation at Steeles W. and Keele, specializing in vegan, nut free and non-GMO baked goods. As one of the fastest growing companies in Canada, we are looking for experienced, well-rounded candidates to join our growing team.

We are currently looking for a cake decorator and packager to assist with large-scale order productions.

Full-Time

Reports to: Decorating Lead/Production Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Decorate cakes and pipe cupcakes using buttercream, vanilla frosting, chocolate ganache or other frostings as needed.

· Produce high quality finished product as per product specification.

· Inscribe writing on cakes for events (birthday, anniversary, etc)

· Assist in monitoring of ingredients and finished goods inventory.

· Communicate with colleagues and production manager regarding needed ingredients.

· Keep the work area neat and organized.

· Ensure all baking related products are fresh and kept according to food safety guidelines.





· Provide assistance with packaging and additional production needs for large-scale orders.

· Work well with teammates and follow instructions.

· Follow GMP and Food Safety rules and fill out QA records and reports

Requirements:

· Ability to work longer hours if necessary

· Pictures of your work must be provided with application.

· 1-2 years’ experience in decorating in a fast paced environment.

· High school or college diploma

· Knowledge of Food Safety and traceability

Working Conditions:

· Must be able to stand on feet all day.

· This is a factory setting with high volume production.

· Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

· Must wear uniform, hairnet and gloves throughout the shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
