Support individuals facing homelessness in a fulfilling role with The Salvation Army as a Program Services Case Worker. Engage clients through crisis counseling, advocacy, and community resource guidance. This position involves client interactions in a Drop-In Center setting, focusing on promoting a protected environment.
You'll assist in case management, document important client information, and build rapport with clients. The role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to anti-racism and equity. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate orientation for clients at the Drop-In Center
- Provide crisis counseling and one-on-one support
- Record client information accurately in systems
- Organize community clubs and initiatives for client involvement
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility
Requirements:
- College diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience with homeless populations
- Understanding of women's issues and mental health
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid Driver’s License is an asset
