Casual ECE Saskatoon, SK, CA Navera Community connections is looking for team players who are passionate about working with children to join our Early Learning team on a casual basis.

Connections is a nonprofit organization with a vision of thriving people and connected communities. We do this through early learning centres, counselling and mental health services, and a range of community programs.

Casual Childcare

Workers will work cooperatively with the Early Childhood Educators to create a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment for the children in our care and their parents. Provide physical care and stimulation for children ages 0 – 6 years (this includes guiding and assisting with proper eating, dressing, and hygiene habits). Assist with implementing age-appropriate developmental activities for children. May help with preparing children’s meals and snacks.

Experience working with children ages 0-6.

Early Childhood

Educator (ECE) Level I, II, or III is not required but is an asset.

Experience in an Early Learning environment is an asset.





Valid First

Aid and CPR Certificate, Food Safe Certificate is an asset. Versatile; adapts readily to interruptions, changes, and shifts in tasks and circumstances. Observes and navigates everyday situations with children, parents, and employees as they arise.

Ability to handle stressful situations, conflict, and unpredictable child behaviour. Personal compatibility with the values of Navera Community Connections. Acceptable results of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search are required before hire.

Primarily work indoors, with some outside work with a group of children. Casual employees work on an as-needed basis during the hours of operation of the work location. Applicants with certification in Early Childhood Education will receive the wage enhancement for this position.
