Make a difference in children's lives as a Child and Family Support Worker with VHA Home HealthCare. This role focuses on providing essential childcare and family support services in Ontario. The Child and Family Support Worker contributes to families with children aged 0-4, particularly those recovering from medical crises. With a blend of emotional support, childcare assistance, and home support, you ensure the well-being of both children and parents.
Your role includes teaching first-time parents and providing activities to foster independence in caring for infants. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily living support for children aged 0-4 years
- Assist parents with household routines during recovery
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals while considering dietary needs
- Engage in personal infant care activities and stimulation
- Mentor new parents in infant care and routines Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of childcare experience
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or related fields
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Experience working with mental health issues
- Familiarity with special needs children, especially Autism Support families as they navigate early childhood, promote healthy development, and build solid connections in your community.
