BGC Wolf Creek is seeking a Child Care Program Assistant for our Lacombe location. The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with children and dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment.

Qualifications

- Minimum 16 years of age
- Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Previous experience working with children is preferred
- Level 1 Child Care Certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with children in a supportive and nurturing manner
- Safely walk children from schools to the program
- Ensure programs are operating smoothly through interactive supervision
- Assist the Coordinator/Manager in completing documentation as required
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of facilities
- Demonstrate a proactive, appropriate and positive approach to behaviour management issues and conflict resolution situations.




- Assist in program development and ensure compliance with licensing regulation

Hours:
- Between 20-30 hours a week (September-June)
- 6:45AM-8:45AM & 2:45PM-6:00PM Monday to Friday
- Schedule may be subject to full days on PD days and school holidays as per Wolf Creek school calendar
- July and August hours TBD
- Schedule subject to change

Remuneration:
- Level 1 Child Care Certification $16.00/hr + $2.64/hr
- Level 2 Child Care Certification $17.00/hr + $5.05/hr
- Level 3 Child Care Certification $18.00/hr + $8.62/hr

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 per hour
