About the Organization

The Wolastoqey Tribal Council Inc. (WTCI) is a not-for-profit organization whose role is to provide capacity-building opportunities for its member communities within the traditional Wolastoqey territory in New Brunswick. These member communities consist of Matawaskiye (Madawaska Maliseet First Nation), Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation), Bilijk (Kingsclear First Nation), Sitansisk (St. Mary’s First Nation), and Welamukotuk (Oromocto First Nation).

Position Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director the Clinical Advisor will support Department Managers and Leads to provide oversight and guidance to a multidisciplinary team across the Health, Education, Jordan’s Principle, and Justice departments. The Clinical Advisor will help to ensure First Nations individuals and families utilizing WTCI's services receive quality, culturally safe, and supportive care.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing clinical consultation, guidance, and support to staff across Education, Health, Jordan’s Principle, and Justice programs to address complex client situations and service delivery challenges
- Oversees accurate documentation including but not limited to case notes, file management, statistics, data collection
- Providing guidance on ethical practice,



professional standards, privacy requirements, and risk management
- Provides coaching and mentorship to reduce burnout and/or vicarious trauma
- In collaboration with Managers/Leads, monitoring service delivery, caseloads, and workload distribution to support effective and equitable client care
- Researches and supports implementation of evidence-informed practices, professional standards, and competencies
- Protects and upholds confidentiality and privacy to ensure safeguarding of client information
- Supporting a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, accountability, and excellence in service delivery

Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree in social work, nursing, counselling, human services, or a related field.
- Relevant professional designation/registration in good standing, where applicable.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in healthcare, social services, education, or human services, including staff support and complex case management.
- Knowledge of ethical and professional standards, privacy legislation, trauma-informed and evidence-based practices.
- Understanding of case management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and service delivery models.




- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field, combined with significant experience in service coordination, clinical consultation, case management, or program leadership, are encouraged to apply.

Salary range for this position is $79,000-$95,000. Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Wolastoqey Tribal Council Inc. offers competitive salary and benefits to our employees. Working location is 35 Dedham St, Sitansisk (Fredericton, New Brunswick).
