Become a Community Assistant Day Program Leader at L'Arche Calgary, where you’ll support individuals while leading daily program activities in a compassionate and inclusive setting. This hands-on role is focused on facilitating the Day Program's operations while providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities. You'll play a crucial part in coordinating activities, managing documentation, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
Your work will help build a supportive community guided by L'Arche's core values. Key Responsibilities:
- Directly support the Day Program Leader in daily operations
- Delegate tasks to Program Assistants for optimal service
- Monitor and facilitate accurate medication practices
- Manage daily activity scheduling and transportation needs
- Maintain the upkeep and organization of program resources Requirements:
- Relevant experience in disability or community support services
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license desired Contribute to a nurturing community where everyone’s voice matters and support individuals on their journey.
