Concrete Finisher

Location: Edmonton, AB

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (overtime and occasional weekends as required)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. This role requires strong knowledge of finishing techniques with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Formsetting knowledge is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform concrete placing, leveling, and finishing including troweling, edging, broom finishing, and surface treatments.
- Set grades and check elevations to ensure proper slope and finish quality.
- Assist with forming, stripping, and preparation of slabs, curbs, and structural concrete elements.
- Operate finishing tools and equipment such as power trowels, screeds, and vibrators.




- Apply curing methods and surface protection as required.
- Read and interpret drawings and site instructions to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work workplace and follow all safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with foremen, labourers, and project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform concrete repairs and patching when required.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of finishing techniques for slabs, suspended slabs, and exterior concrete.
- Ability to read basic drawings and follow grade elevations.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions common in the Edmonton region.
- Valid safety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) considered an asset.
- Reliable transportation to local job sites.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
