We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Senior Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, collecting spatial data, and supporting construction and GIS projects. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles, data management, and relevant software tools to ensure accurate mapping and documentation.
The Surveyor will collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver precise survey data that supports construction and development initiatives.
Duties
- Conduct land surveys using traditional methods and modern equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners
- Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data for various projects including construction sites, land development, and infrastructure planning
- Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings
- Manage survey data efficiently within databases and GIS platforms to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Support construction teams by providing precise measurements and layout information on-site
- Maintain calibration and proper functioning of surveying instruments
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during field operations.
Make sure all work meets legal & regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development of project plans by providing geospatial insights based on collected data
Qualifications
- Proven experience with surveying techniques and equipment such GPS units, and laser scanners
- Strong understanding of construction processes and geospatial data collection methods
- Familiarity with databases used for storing survey data
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate mapping and reporting
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
- Relevant certifications or licenses in surveying or geomatics are preferred but not mandatory
