We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed educators to submit an Expression of Interest for Continuing Education: Continuing Education Adult Day School Quad 2 (In person at Adult HS)
Secondary Teacher Quadmester 2 - November 9, 2026 to January 19, 2027
- Note: this posting will be used to staff Quadmester 2 only. There will be subsequent postings for each Quadmester which will be posted closer to the Quad start date.
Overview The Continuing Education Adult Day School program offers secondary Reach Ahead credit courses in the following subjects: English, ESL, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as the Ontario Secondary School Literacy course. The Continuing Education Adult Day School program operates out of the Adult High School from Monday to Friday each week from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm according to the schedule below. 2026-2027 Quadmester Dates Quad 2: November 9, 2026 to January 19, 2027 Quad 3: January 25, 2027 to April 2, 2027
Quad 4: April 8, 2027 to June 7, 2027
Number of days per Quad : 42 days
Hours per course : 108.5
Quad Schedule Morning Block : 9:00 - 11:35 am
Break : 11:35 am - 12:25 pm
Afternoon Block : 12:25 - 3:00pm
Program location : In person at Adult High School
Pay rate : $56.84/hour + 4% in lieu of vacation
There will be a paid 1-hour staff meeting prior to the commencement of Quadmester 2.

As per Article 40.02(c ) of the collective agreement,
and in the event that the Employer cancels two (2) or more days/evenings of Continuing Education courses as a result of unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, Continuing Education teachers will be required to attend and teach one replacement day.

Application Process This is the only posting for Quadmester 2 (November 9, 2026 - January 19, 2027) of the Continuing Education Adult Day School. There will be subsequent postings for each quadmester, which applicants must apply to in order to be considered for a position in each respective quadmester.
Posting Timelines Quad 2: September 14 - October 16, 2026
Quad 3: November 16, 2026 - January 4, 2027 (Tentative)
Quad 4: February 1 - March 15, 2027 (Tentative)
All interested teachers, with or without Continuing Education (CE) Seniority, must apply to this posting following its posting guidelines. Late applications cannot be considered. Applicants MUST be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold Intermediate/Senior qualifications that are featured on their Ontario Qualification Record Card.
As per the Collective Agreement, Article 40.02 (a - ii), applicants with CE Seniority who appear on the October 2026 Continuing Education Seniority List and hold the required qualifications will be considered first for teaching positions.
Where positions remain after all CE Seniority teachers who applied to this posting have been placed, remaining applicants may be offered positions according to their OCT qualifications based upon the remaining positions, and in accordance with Policy Equitable Recruitment, Hiring and Promotion.

Staffing Timelines Staffing timelines for this program are very constrained. Offers of work will be emailed to teachers at the email provided in Apply to Education (ATE) by the Principal of Continuing Education. Please be sure to monitor the email account used on ATE to apply for this position. Teachers will have 24 hours to respond to the offer. Where acceptances are not received within the timeframe specified in the email, it will be assumed that you are declining the offer of work.
