Become an Indigenous Family Wellness Support Worker with Newo Yotina Friendship Centre in Regina. Deliver trauma-informed support for Two-Spirit, trans, and gender-diverse individuals facing violence.
This full time role is focused on providing critical support to Indigenous families affected by gender-based and intimate partner violence. You will emphasize safety planning, advocacy, and connection to essential healing resources. Your contributions help foster a community grounded in dignity, choice, and self-determination.
Key Responsibilities: • Offer trauma-informed, culturally safe support to clients • Assist with crisis response and safety planning • Facilitate workshops and educational programming • Guide clients through navigating legal and social systems • Promote healthy relationships with a focus on accountability
Requirements: • Some post-secondary education completed • 1-2 years of relevant work experience • Familiarity with Indigenous healing practices • Strong advocacy and communication skills • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and autonomy
