About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a Dental Assistant who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful work. Your primary role will be to assist in various ways with dental hygiene appointments in non-traditional locations (retirement homes and long term care) while ensuring our senior patients feel comfortable and well cared for.

Responsibilities

- Assist the dental hygienist by setting up the instrumentation and equipment in various locations
- Prepare, organize, and disinfect portable equipment and instruments
- Maintain strict infection-control and sterilization protocols
- Set up and take down a mobile operatory in various environments
- Support clinical tasks such as hard tissue charting, periodontal charting and data entry for dictated clinical notes, during the hygiene procedure
- Provide warm, compassionate support to patients of all ages
- Assist with transporting equipment (may involve light lifting)

Qualifications
- Certified/Registered Dental Assistant (CDA Level I or Level II preferred)




- Police Records Check
- Confident and proficient with technology and computers
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in mobile/community settings
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently
- Experience with charting software or portable dental equipment is an asset
